One thing that has been true in every society or culture throughout history is that the status and health of the family determines quality and longevity of a society. If this trend continues (and there is no reason to think it wouldn’t) then it is important for the church to take a hard look at our families and those things that seek to break up this unit or redefine it. While there are those who will argue that Jesus was not political, it is still important to recognize that he was pro-family and taught that Family Matters. So how we respond to these attacks on our families will directly impact the overall society and culture in our country and community.
