LifePoint's updated Response to COVID-19
Our current situation brings with it understandable anxiety. Although concern is an appropriate response, and while we must take precautionary measures in light of these times, we want to encourage you not to fear and to remain “steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:58).
LifePoint will be moving back indoor for our weekend worship gathering and will continue to monitor the situation. We have all of the state requirements in place, but we ask that you take personal responsibility in monitoring yourself and your family. If you do not feel well we want to encourage you to join us through our live broadcast as mentioned below. If you are to attend we ask that you wear a mask into and out of the building as well as when you are conversing with others. Our seating is spaced according to guildelines so you will be a safe distance from others. We will continue to have singing as a part of our gathering.
We will continue to broadcast our Virtual Worship Gathering at 9:30am on Facebook Live or YouTube (Media LifePoint) for those who are more vulnerable or are not quite ready to gather with others at this point. We know that this is a challenging time and there are difficult decisions to make, so we will continue to be respectful and sensitive to each other. If you do remain at home, we hope you will stay connected through our virtual gathering and share the video or create "watch parties" so that your friends or family members can worship with us online.
COMMUNITY WITH ONE ANOTHER
LifePoint Kids will continue special outdoor gatherings and events throughout the fall, as long as we feel that we can provide a safe and secure environment. Please monitor the LifePoint Kids page for more information. We will also post the Gospel Project Kids’ Bible study videos on our LifePoint Kids Facebook page each week so that families with children can engage with God’s Word at home. You may visit the LifePoint Kids page under "Ministries" to find the link as well.
Our students and adults will begin to incorporate in-person meetings while taking into account the necessary precautions that now come with meeting together. We will also include online options for people to stay connected until they are ready to be in a "face to face" environment. With Zoom, Google Hangout, FaceTime, and other options there are plenty of opportunities to keep everyone connected through community groups. If you are not a part of a group we would love to help you get connected. Please send us an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and let us know. We will be sure to connect you with one or more of our community groups.
Influence with our world
Please be in prayer about ways to show love and mercy to all those around you. One practical way you can do this is by joining Bless Every Home (https://blesseveryhome.com/light/?cust=10607). This is a great way to pray for your neighbors and look for ways to care for them during this time. Also, If you have a good idea of what you are already doing to reach out to those around you, we would love to hear about it. Our God is still unstoppable, and the spread of the gospel is not to be contained.
We also know the importance of taking care of our own during this time. It is hard to admit your own needs at times, but we strongly encourage you to let us know if you are in need of anything.
